Tall Fashion Spring Look Book

It's getting to that time of year where its hard to know what to wear as the weather varies so much. You can leave the house in the morning in a jumper and jacket and by lunchtime you wish you'd worn a summer dress. Whilst I don't really have any advice to give when it comes to avoiding this, I will provide some style inspiration based off of what I've been wearing recently, all tall girl friendly of course!

Look 1

I said I wouldn't give advice, but if I was to recommend any fashion staple for spring weather, blazers should be your best friend. Perfect for layering on those colder days but paired with a crop top and mini skirt it's great for those better weather days. For this look I paired a dark grey blazer from Primark (top tip- size up a few sizes in blazers for a more casual oversized look) with a white halter-neck top from Zara and a thrifted black mini skirt. For me the star of the show when it comes to this outfit is the boots. These knee high boots from 4th and Reckless have been my go-to's all season and can be dressed up or down. They make long legs look even longer and are so flattering. The best part is that they're flats, so are unbelievably comfortable too! It's a win win.

The blazer strikes again. This time I went for a smarter look pairing my navy blazer with matching navy tailored trousers. Both from Boohoo and under the regular fitting sizes, I was a little apprehensive about whether the trousers would be long enough, however when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find they were indeed long enough and even a tad on the long side for me (I'm 5'8), so definitely a win for tall girls. I paired this navy suit with the same simple Zara white crop top as I didn't want to distract from the suit.

For this look I went on a dinner date with a friend and decided to jump on the cargo trouser trend that everyone seems to be on these days. These grey cargo trousers are from Pretty Little Thing in the tall section and were a perfect length for anyone my height or taller. They are a really flattering fit and I also purchased them in the sale, which is a find I'm particularly proud of. I paired the trousers with a burgundy leather lace-up corset top from Shein and my black platform Converse (another great wardrobe essential).

I told you I was a fan of blazers, well suits in this instance. I just think a matching suit is so flattering and can make you feel so powerful, especially in a statement colour. I wore this fuchsia tailored suit to the Harris Reed fashion show at the V&A and paired it again with my black platform Converse.

In almost complete contrast to all my other looks, for dinner at the Sky Garden I wore this burgundy tie front mini dress from an Australian boutique called Kameli Boutique . I often find mini dresses can be WAY too mini on me as most of my height is in my legs, however this dress was a really good length, not too long and not too short.
